Meet the Founder

Javon R. Williams

I am Javon Williams, a native of Tallahassee, Florida and a graduate of Leon High School, Tallahassee Community College, and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I currently serve as the Algebra teacher at Tallahassee Collegiate Academy.
Upon graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics in 2020, I started my journey in education. In 2021, I began working at Cobb Middle School as an eighth-grade mathematics teacher. Here, I found many students that struggled in mathematics for a multitude of reasons. I took the time to find out what each student needed and designed a plan for their success. My desire is to do the same for you.
My belief is that with a focus on the basics, the foundation— we are able to build upon it without limit.

About Me

It was the last day of school. I was finally going to the fourth grade…so I thought. There in bold letters read “Retained.” My journey to this point had been riddled with struggle. I was reading below grade-level, my math skills were less than desirable—my foundation was cracked. I did not have the basic skills needed to move on to the next grade.
What I thought would break me, worked in my favor. I met a teacher that inspired me, and taught me that I can do ANYTHING, but it was up to me and my attitude. I carry this lesson with me to this day and make it my goal to instill it in each of those that I connect with.
You may be reading this, thinking the beginning of my story sounds familiar. My story did not end with “Retained.” It started my story— that I am yet writing. How will your story end?
